Lynn

Silver Creek Fine Art & Custom Framing has been proudly Custom Framing El Cajon and San Diego 's East County since 1980. We are an art gallery and custom framer.

Lynn Endicott, owner, is a Certified Picture Framer (CPF) thru the Professional Picture Framer's Association (PPFA.)

A CPF is a professional with the experience and knowledge necessary to properly handle all your custom framing needs. An individual with a CPF designation has passed a comprehensive study and examination covering the latest materials, techniques and design theories. With a thorough knowledge of up-to-date custom framing techniques and materials, a CPF can guide you through the selection of matting, frame moulding and design to give you the best possible presentation for any framing project. Dedicated to staying abreast of changes and advances in the technical art of custom framing, a CPF can make recommendations for protecting and preserving your artwork and valuable items. Using a PPFA CPF for all your custom framing needs is your assurance that your most precious valuables are in the careful hands of a professional.

The PPFA is the international trade association for the art and custom framing industry. PPFA works to elevate professional standards in the industry by providing advanced educational programs and encouraging the continued development of custom picture framers.

Lynn Endicott has owned Silver Creek Fine Art for 20 years, 11 years on Jamacha Road in El Cajon, and most recently at the newly expanded gallery at 120 East Main in Downtown El Cajon, CA 92020.

Lynn joined the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce in 1993 was asked to join their Board of Directors in 1995 and currently sits on their Board, 2 years of which she was a Vice-Chair. She is a Founding Member, in 1995, of the Board of Directors for the Olaf Wieghorst Museum and Western Heritage Center; she still sits on the Board.

Lynn is a Proud Graduate of the 1995 Leadership East County Class (THE #1 Class), a yearlong educational program through the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce. The program acquaints participants with East County 's assets, needs, and problems and provides a forum to discuss and resolve these challenges with experienced community leaders. The program promotes increased participation and commitment in the East County community. Lynn was so impressed with the Leadership East County Program, she sent Carlos through the program 1 year later and he graduated in 1997.

Lynn is on the Board of Directors for the El Cajon Fire History and Learning Center. She is on the Board of directors for the Professional Picture Framers Association, Southern California Chapter. Lynn was a 4 th Generation Rotarian until health reasons required her to resign, she could not participate on a weekly basis. Her intentions are in the near future to rejoin.

“I have lived in East County since 1970, owned my business in East County , donate in East County and spend my money in East County .”

Tom

Tom Johnston has worked at Silver Creek Fine Art since 2001. He has been involved in custom framing since 1966 whether owning his own gallery, or working in the retail and wholesale aspects of the industry. Tom is an artistic, technical and mechanical designer of our group. When we need something technical or mechanical designed or built, Tom is our guy. Here, Tom is using our computer-controlled Wizard mat cutter, able to cut mats in just about any shape you can imagine. We're one of very few shops in San Diego with this capability.
